Outdoor Stone DIY Projects

There are countless do-it-yourself (DIY) projects that you can take on to enhance your home in one way or another. At Cloudstone, we are huge fans of using stone for DIY projects in and around the home. Check out a few of our recommendations for DIY projects that you can use outside your home using high end, reliable stone!

Fire Pit
A fire pit is an excellent addition to your property’s exterior, outdoors living area. If you’ve never done a home improvement or DIY project, a fire pit is a great place to start. It doesn’t take too long compared to other projects, is relatively easy to do, and adds an incredible amount of value. Not only is stone an uncommon sight to see among many homes, but it allows you to enjoy an at-home campfire. It also makes for a great gathering place for parties and get-togethers.

Benches and Seating
The next project we recommend, especially if you already have a fire pit or just got finished building one, is to add stone furniture: benches, stools and chairs. Make sure that you know where you want all of your seating to be as it will be somewhat difficult to relocate once it’s been built. Once you know where you want your seating to go, it can add a very unique way to lounge around with friends and family.

Tables and Countertops
You can combine stone tables with stone stools, benches or other seating arrangements. Adding stone tables to your outdoor seating arrangements adds another layer of hospitality for both yourself and any of your guests or family. If you use an outdoor kitchen or tend to cook outside a lot, adding countertops can be another great option to add to your outdoor area.

Stone Walls
Constructing stone walls may be a more advanced project, but still well within the “DIY project” limits. Stone walls can be a great way of adding new design elements to your home, segregating certain areas of your home, or adding privacy in your neighborhood while still being stylish about it.

Regardless of what kind of DIY project you want to take on when using stone, we can help help you out! We’re happy to answer any questions you have and can supply you with the necessary ingredients and resources for completing your stone DIY project.
